Rail Traction Inverter Test System
The rail inverter test system uses a pulse test methodology to verify proper operation of the IGBT switching elements in a subway car motor control. The system is designed to verify proper commutation of the switching elements. A large capacitor bank allows testing at DC voltages up to 1kV and peak currents of up to 3kA into reactive loads.The system also integrates self test capabilities and safe-to-turn-on (STTO) diagnostics to ensure no gross faults are present prior to the application of high voltages. Further the system includes dielectric withstand (hi-pot) test capability to ensure electrical safety.

Pyroshock Testing
The purpose of Pyroshock (pyrotechnic shock) testing is to simulate the high-frequency, high-magnitude shock pulse experienced by an explosive event (such as an impact on a military tank or an explosive deployment charge). Pyroshock testing can expose failures in electronic components that are sensitive to high-frequency pyroshock energy. Common failures include: relay and crystal oscillator chatter, detachment of larger components from the circuit board, hard failures of small circuit components, and the dislodging of contaminants, which cause short circuits. Severe damage to crucial components used in space or in the military can produce critical results, such as loss of life, due to malfunction.

TP02 is a probe that offers the possibility to perform a practical and fast measurement of the thermal conductivity (or thermal resistivity) of the medium in which it is inserted at the highest accuracy level. It works in compliance with the ASTM D 5334-00, D 5930-97 and IEEE 442-1981 standards. The standard TP02 probe has proven suitability in soils, thermal backfill materials, sediments, foodstuff, powders, sludges, paints, glues and various other materials. The Non-Steady-State Probe (NSSP) measurement method (also known as transient line source, thermal needle, hot needle, heat pulse- and hot wire technique) has the fundamental advantages that it is fast and absolute while the sample size is not critical. Hukseflux is specialised in NSSP design. Special models have been developed for in-situ field experiments. For permanent installation in soils, a dedicated model, TP01, is available. TP02 has been designed and tested in collaboration with the Applied Physics Group of Wageningen University.

Aircraft Escape Systems
The Emergency Interseat Sequencing System (EISS) was designed an qualified for the F-15K Fighter and has since been installed in the F-15SG and F-15SA configurations of the F-15. The system consists of Thermal Batteries with Initiators, a Digital Interseat Sequencer, Mode Selector, and customer provided cabling Electro-Explosive Devices (EEDs). The system is operated from either thermal battery and aircraft 28Vdc for redundancy. A separate field Test Set (EESSTS) performs both complete system continuity tests and an operational test of the total system installed in the aircraft. The sequencer is programmable and could be used in any escape system.Based on the initiation point, Forward or Aft Seat Handle, Internal or External Canopy Jettison Handles, and the Mode Selector setting, the Sequencer provides firing pulses to the EEDs to support canopy removal, ejection seat inertial reel activation(s) and ejection seat catapult firing(s). Sensing capabilities are provided to determine system state, canopy gone, seat gone, so as to provide the optimum escape timing.
