Load Cell Transmitter
MODEL SST-LV
The SST-LV is a Plug & Play Smart TEDS IEEE 1451.4 compliant Transmitter. Just plug in a TEDS compatible Load Cell or Torque Sensor and the SST-LV will automatically self-calibrate. When used with a non-TEDS Load Cell or Torque Sensor, the SST-LV Transmitter is easily programmed using a PC with an RS232 port and Instrument Setup (IS) software, which provides a graphical user interface. The SST-LV may be powered from 12-30 Vac or 10-48 Vdc. The SST-HV Has an Isolated transducer excitation output that is selectable between 5Vdc or 10Vdc. There are Dual solid state relays and an Isolated 4-20 mA, 0-20 mA or 0-10V analog output. There are three Isolated serial data transmitter output ( RS232 , Half-duplex RS485, full-duplex RS485 ) and three serial protocols that are software selectable (Modbus RTU, Modbus ASCII and Custom ASCII). Isolation to 250V rms is provided for power, signal input, analog output, relay outputs, and communications. Isolation adds safety and avoids possible ground loops. The transducer excitation output is isolated to 50V from signal ground.

Demonstration Boards

The SAMPULSE50GHz and SAMPULSE70GHzANT are demonstration boards for Furaxa InP single channel sampler/pulser ICs. The SAMPULSE50GHz model contains a 2.4mm combined TDR input/output connector to the common sampler/pulser node in the IC. The SAMPULSE70GHzANT is similar, except that instead of a single-ended 2.4mm connector, the sampler IC's differential inputs are fed from a bowtie antenna. In both models, the IC's differential sampler output is converted, using an AD8009 op amp, into a single-ended ground-referenced output that is sent to an SMA jack labeled SAMPLER OUTPUT.

Dummy Load
Dummy load is capable of dissipating four times the legal limit 6 kW for 2 minutes and legal limit 1500 watts key down, forever. It covers the 160 meter to 6 meter bands (actually 1 Mhz-60 MHz continuously). It is a dry dummy load intended for testing amplifiers and station conditions. Two fans on the rear of the unit are automatically turned on when the internal temperature reaches 120°F/49°C . The unit runs off a universal AC supply. The 6330A family offers 8 types of modular loads with power ranging from 30 watts to 1200 watts, current from 0.5mA to 240A, and voltage measurement from 0.5mV to 500V. Each load is isolated and floating, programmable in dual current range and measuring voltage range, and capable of synchronizing with other modules for control operating. The load can be operated in constant current, constant voltage, and constant resistance. With Synchronic parallel control capability, 6330A series loads allow users to parallel and synchronize more than one load together from an internal loading control signal. This feature provides synchronic dynamic loading test for multi-output power and high power test solution. Real time measurement of voltage, current, is integrated into each 6330A load module using a 16-bit precision measurement circuit. The user can perform on line voltage measurement and adjustment, or simulate short circuit test using the simple keypad on the front panel.

All designs are performed in-house using PCB design software (Mentor PADS, CAM350) and 3D mechanical design software (Solid Edge) if required. PCB fabrication is sub-contracted to one of our long-time fabrication partners.
