General Purpose Low Profile

Our low profile load cells feature an advanced structural design that makes them extremely durable, accurate, and resistant to large extraneous shear and moment loads. To perform in a linear and predictable manner, the outside diameter of the load cell must be bolted to a flat rigid surface. When this is unavailable, our factory installed base provides a convenient threaded attachment point for easy installation and use in both tension and compression. All low profile load cells are stocked with the mounting base installed, but we can remove the base upon request.

The LBC Series (Load Button) load cells are offered for compression only applications where space is limited. The matching surface must be flat and at least the diameter of (D1). The loading diameter (D2) is slightly convex for accurate load distribution. Counter bored mounting holes are provided for fastening down from the top. These sensors are manufactured from heat treated 17-4ph stainless steel and sealed for use in most industrial environments.

The model MLP Series load cells were designed with economy as first priority. They are a scaled down version of our successful LPO Series Load Cells. MLP-10 through MLP-300 are anodized aluminum and the MLP-500 through MLP-1K are made from 17-4ph heat treated stainless steel. The unique low profile design of the MLP Series provides excellent stability for in line applications for tension and/or compression, while saving space at the same time.

The board uses a 16C954 UART with 128-byte Tx/Rx FIFOs that enables data rates to 921.6K bps for reliable high-speed communications in data intensive applications. This high-performance UART includes 9-bit framing support and is register compatible with legacy 16550 software applications.
