Chassis height sensing is a specific application of CTS' rotary sensor technology. Chassis height sensors measure the position of the control arms relative to the frame or body of the vehicle. This information is used in systems such as headlight leveling and real-time-dampening. Key features of the CTS' chassis height sensors is the ability to mount in a variety of angles and projections to accommodate difficult packaging as well as robust sealing required for under chassis applications. The all-hybrid backplane enables excellent flexibility for instrumentation module placement by accepting PXI Express modules in every slot and PXI hybrid-compatible modules in up to seven slots. It also offers a Timing and Synchronization option that includes a built-in oven-controlled crystal oscillator (OCXO) for increased clock accuracy and external clock and trigger routing. The chassis includes a peripheral expansion slot in Slot 10 to provide power only for multiple-slot wide modules.

The fin design and wall thickness was designed and analyzed with Flowmetrics software and designed for minimum delta T offset in an average thermal load application.
