The main contact channels can also measure the resistance value of the pre-insertion resistors (if present in the circuit breaker). Test results can be downloaded to a USB memory stick or saved to internal memory. The CAT Standard series internal memory can store up to 500 test results (numerical and graphical data). Test results can also be printed on the 80 mm (3.15 inch) thermal printer (optional accessory) in tabular and graphical form. The CT-3500 S2 is Vanguard’s second generation, stand-alone, digital, microprocessor-controlled, circuit-breaker timer. It measures the elapsed time from the instant a breaker coil is energized to the instant of opening or closing of a circuit-breaker’s dry contacts. In addition to timing a breaker’s contact response time, the CT-3500 S2 can also time relays or other switching functions that use an initiating trigger voltage (24-300 Volts DC or AC). The timer-triggering voltage starts three independent electronic timers. Each timer is individually stopped by its respective dry-contact closing or opening. The CT-3500 can fully analyze the timing of all circuit breaker operations (Open, Close, Open – Close, and Close – Open). Timing results are displayed in milli-seconds and cycles on the unit’s back-lit LCD screen and can be printed on the built-in 2.5-inch wide thermal printer.

The esi SR1030 transfer standards consist of 12 equal steps. These steps are available in increments of 1 (SR1030-1), 10 (SR1030-10), 100 (SR1030-100), 1k (SR1030-1k), 10k (SR1030-10k) and 100k (SR1030-100k). The esi SR1030 provides four-terminal connections for each step or for series and parallel combinations of these resistance steps using the optional Series-Parallel (SPC102), Parallel Compensation Networks (PC101) and shorting bars (SB103). This improves power dissipation, stability and errors due to variance in temperature. The esi SR1010 and esi SR1030 are used for the same applications and are alike in configuration.
