Contact Resistance Test Sets

When a high current passes through a pair of mechanically independent metallic contacts, the resistance must be as low as possible. An increase in resistance can lead to additional degradation, as I2R losses will cause local heating of the contact surfaces. Our range of micro-ohmmeters measure both steady state and dynamic low resistance values. With test currents up to 600A available, logging and trending are also available on some models. We ensure that our Contact Resistance tests sets are portable, making them suitable for field measurements. An internal zero air option extends the T753U's capabilities to also provide a clean and dry source of zero air, eliminating the need for a separate source of zero air. The internal zero air source module contains a software driven electronic inlet valve manifold allowing the calibrator to automatically switch between internal and external zero air sources depending on the application needs.

Fairview Microwave’s calibrated noise sources cover frequency bands from 10 KHz to 18 GHz. Their performance specifications include output ENR levels ranging from 15 dB to 30 dB and typical VSWR levels as low as 1.25:1. Depending on the model, calibrated frequency points are at 10 MHz, 100 MHz, 1000 MHz, 2000 MHz and 1 GHz steps. The temperature coefficient of these noise sources is < 0.01 dB/°C and noise output variation is < 0.1 dB/%V.
